Job Description

The Sustaining Engineer Technical Lead will support the Enterprise IT Services (EITS) organization on the IRES program at Schriever AFB Colorado Springs, CO.  As the Technical Lead of the Sustaining Engineering team the they will ensure the evaluation of IM/IT service and IT infrastructure performance, reliability, and availability; manage service continuity and disaster recovery; assess service modifications or system configuration baselines to ensure the necessary steps are followed for availability, continuity, and to maintain cybersecurity integrity.  Ensures systems documentation is up-to-date and accurate to include all systems drawings and configuration management for the systems. Maintains technical expertise of the assets and capabilities of the total IM/IT systems including the processing protocols, processes, operational procedures, and critical issues pertaining to maintenance and security within the IT infrastructure. Supports all facets of contingency planning to ensure services are not interrupted. The successful candidate will have previous design engineering experience and the ability to perform technical validation of systems designs in accordance with industry best practices and DoD policies and guidelines. Will lead ~10 engineers (systems and network). Typical work schedule supports core hours of 9am - 3pm M-F. ~10 percent travel.

Basic requirements include:

• High School Diploma (or GED), plus 16-18 years general experience, including 9 years direct experience, 3 years management/leadership experience; education can be substituted for years of general experience. 

• Systems design experience in an Enterprise environment

• Must possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain in a timely manner; must possess or be able to obtain a DOD IAT level II certification.
