ERC, Incorporated located at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a research and development combustion test and data analysis engineer/scientist for rotating detonation rocket engines. The selected applicant will join an established team of scientists and engineers, performing basic research in liquid rocket combustion.
The candidate will be expected to interface with senior scientists, refine experimental diagnostics, operate fundamental combustion test apparatus, collect data using high speed data acquisition networks, collate resulting data, and present analyzed results. Results of experiments will be presented in both written and oral formats locally and at conferences. Due to test considerations and facility availability, the candidate must be able work flexibly. This will include potential overtime, flexible schedule, and work at remote facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with rocket testing and rotating detonation engines. Knowledge of data analysis and acquisition tools such as LabView, PLC programing, MatLab, Python, and Igor Pro is essential.
