Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will:
- Support the next generation Pressurized Rover being designed and built for astronauts to operate during future Moon
missions.
- Review engineering design to determine if hardware will be a make or buy
Place procurements, ensure positive vendors relations, and work with machining facilities to oversee process/operations.
- Support assembly and some testing of manufactured hardware
Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy
Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed.
- Interact frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA System Managers, and operational customers.
- Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions.
- Perform other duties as required.

- BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and five (5) years of related engineering
experience, or a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and four (4) years of related
engineering experience, or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school and zero (0) years of
related experience.

AS000ROZ

- BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct
engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct
engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience.

- Manufacturing production control supervision experience.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree is a plus.
- Flight hardware manufacturing/JSC process including Class D and 1-E
- Manufacturability design review experience.
- Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as
required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and
management at all levels.
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
- Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex.
- Mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Preferences:
- Familiarity with common hand tools and proficiency using them to perform assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting
on mechanical systems.
- Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis.
- Experience with procedure development.
- Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Experience at JSC or another NASA agency.
- Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs (5%
of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and
adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
