Perform routine assignments under close supervision from provided detail procedures. Provide assistance to plan and organize work operations necessary to setup, operate and maintain mechanical systems used in pressure systems and other associated major components related to pressure systems operations. Systems include compressors, pumps, hydraulic machinery and other equipment required to provide propellant services to customers across MSFC. Provide assistance to higher level engineering technicians to fabricate, assemble, modify and test specialized mechanical systems and sub-systems used in supporting propulsion test and Propellants/Pressurants Distribution Systems operations. Provide support in conducting various operations that may require minor modifications in the setup of systems that utilize potentially hazardous medium such as: cryogenics, high pressure gases, various propellants and oxidizers, and high pressure hydraulics. The Engineering Technician II/ III should be familiar with mechanical equipment such as tube flaring, valves, regulators, gauges, hydraulic pumps, air compressors and other mechanical machinery associated with pressure systems.

It is highly desired the candidate possess a Class-A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement. Candidates without this requirement will be considered, but must be capable of obtaining a CDL Class-A with HAZMAT endorsement.
Knowledge in pressure system operations at a NASA Facility is strongly desired.
