Engineering Technician (Level Based on Experience)

Your role:
In your role as an Engineering Technician, you will directly support a variety of Department of Defense weapon systems programs. You will apply your electronics knowledge as part of a team to create and support testing systems and custom instrumentation.
What you’ll do all day:
- Work as part of a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers and technicians.
- Build-up weapon testing systems, to include fabricating cables, assembling customer hardware, installing software, and performing verification testing.
- Support fielded testing systems, to include upgrading software, performing validations, and troubleshooting issues.
- Build-up, maintain, and test custom inert assets to be used for testing or training on weapon systems.
- (If desired) Travel to locations in and outside of the United States to field and/or support already fielded testing systems.
- Support multiple projects in parallel in an environment that changes quickly in response to customer needs.

Minimum requirements for this position:
- Associates degree or military training in related field or high school diploma and one (1) year of applicable experience in engineering technical work involving skills in measurements using test instruments and computing.
- Demonstrated ability to work from schematics or verbal direction to build-up/fabricate cables and hardware or execute test operations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Desired skills and experience for this position:
- Experience with Linux operating system.
- Understanding of computers and the components that make up a PC.
- Basic understanding of C++ (ability to look at code and have a general understanding of what is happening).
